A Luxurious Wedding Weekend at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Plus: 4 Tips for Multi-Day Wedding Celebrations

When it comes to unforgettable wedding weekends, few compare to the energy, elegance, and pure joy of this multi-day international wedding at the stunning Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs. With over 300 guests, back-to-back celebrations, and two signature DJ sets by DJ Ignight, we loved lighting it up for this special couple!

🎉 Day 1: The Sangeet Dance Party – Tradition Meets DJ Ignight’s Turntables

The celebration kicked off Friday night with a high-energy Sangeet dance party. DJ Ignight blended Bollywood bangers, bhangra beats, and family-friendly hits into a perfectly curated set that had every generation on the dance floor. In addition to yummy food and dancing, there were two pop-up henna stations that offered quick designs which dried in about 5 minutes (which we loved). It was hard to stop dancing, but with the baraat coming up the next morning, we all knew we still had to get up early to dance again!

💥 Day 2: Wedding Reception – AM Baraat to Late Night Dancing

The morning kicked off bright and beautiful in the Colorado sunshine for the Baraat leading down to the wedding ceremony site. The groom rode a white horse, and we danced down the street with our mobile baraat cart. A traditional dhol drummer partnered with DJ Ignight to light it up with traditional Indian bangers that the groom had selected.

After the wedding ceremony, the grand reception kicked off later in the night where DJ Ignight delivered his signature wedding DJ set mixed with a lot of classic and modern Bollywood tracks. His DJ set slowly evolved into a festival-style dance party with cold sparks, synchronized lighting, and mashups with American party anthems. DJ Ignight is our in-house pyrotechnician, so he is able to seamlessly provide DJ sets with cold sparks.

The couple had such support and love from their friends, family and vendors, and their energy was contagious! We are so grateful they chose us to light it up for their big day. Congrats N&N!

Planning a multi-day wedding? Here are 4 simple ways to reduce stress, keep everyone dancing, and have a seamless experience:

  1. Send your music preferences early. Your DJ can plan smoother transitions and lighting effects if they have your must-play list a few weeks in advance. If family members have special dances and choreography, we recommend having those submitted to your DJ at least 2 weeks in advance of the sangeet.

  2. Lock in a realistic timeline. Especially for multi-day weddings, a well-paced schedule makes all the difference. Having extra water, opportunities for shade if outside, and breaks for family members to rest between celebrations can make a big difference in the energy of each event.

  3. Have one point of contact. Assign a wedding planner to coordinate with vendors so you can stay present. Sometimes friends and family want to help, and that’s beautiful! For this reason especially we recommend your wedding planner is designated as the one main point of contact for a seamless experience with your vendors.

  4. Start soft, end lit. Build energy from family-friendly to full-blown dance floor bangers at your wedding reception. DJ Ignight’s “Family First, Then Fire” set is crafted for this exact flow.
