Inside the Galactic Gold Rush Gala at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science

Few Denver venues offer a canvas quite like the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. On October 2, 2026, the Museum hosted its Annual Gala, an evening designed around a retro-campy cosmic-western theme: Galactic Gold Rush. The roaming reception invited guests to experience the Museum after hours while enjoying food, drinks, entertainment and artistic performances throughout the building, all while supporting the Museum’s mission.

Ignight Entertainment designed and executed a full scale, multi-themed world of immersive entertainment throughout the Museum. The evening included an intergalactic disco dance party featuring Electric Heart DJ Band (DJ Ignight + DJ Amberdehn + Musicians) with our Infinity Mirror LED Dance Floor and tempo-synced light show, to our acoustic Campfire get-down hosted by our Colorado Bluegrass duo who were back-dropped with campfire-like lighting and spacey string lights. Our golden cowboy and cowgirl greeters and our disco go-go dancers greeted and immersed guests in the event theme.

Full-coverage AV production and curated music across multiple spaces and distinct vibes, and venue-wide lighting included a pixel-mapped wormhole entry tunnel, starry-night and nebula visuals for dining under the stars, and custom AI-generated cowboy-and-alien environments projected throughout the museum. Together, these elements extended the event’s themed world with gold-mining cowboys, aliens, spinning disco planets, and even the occasional dancing dinosaur. 🦖

Collaborating with a museum (or any extra-large space) comes with a responsibility far greater than simply setting up AV and entertainment in each room. Just like a museum, we were given the responsibility to bring our guests into a new world, to tell them a story, and to encourage them to explore and have fun! Galactic Gold (more importantly DMNS) gave Ignight the opportunity to shine as artists; collaborating to create a shared vision, taking guests on a journey distinctly through different themes all within a singular world, and connecting people in music and light under the stars.
