Working with a limited budget & high expectations for your online event? Get up to speed fast with our virtual event FAQ.

  • Who hosts the stream?

    • We would prefer to host your stream as we already have the licenses, technical know-how, and subscriptions to 100% crush it for you!

  • Are you licensed to play music online?

    • Ignight Entertainment is licensed to stream music performances by all of the North American Performing Rights Organizations.  This means, with enough lead time, we can legally host your event on all major streaming platforms without worrying about copyright takedowns 👍

  • What’s in the background?

    • We are happy to design this with you!  Our green screen service includes a custom background, animated or static.  You can choose to have the camera on the DJ or entertainer as they perform, or we can put custom graphics and/or messages for your guests.  We can also change the “room” for different parts of your event if requested; ie, introduction, cocktail hour mingle, dance party, etc.

  • Can we add a logo to the live stream?

    • Yes!  We can overlay your logo anywhere you’d like it.

  • What kind of music will you play?

    • Upon booking, we will send you a link to plan your playlist with us.  You can give us your general idea for music as a mood, tone, or genre.  You can also request specific songs, even invite your guests to rate + suggest songs before the event!  If all this is too much work, we’re happy to choose for you, we are professional DJs after-all 😉

  • How does playlisting work?

    • We have an app called Vibo to help you share your full entertainment & event vision with us!

  • What acts can be booked for a virtual event?

    • Literally almost ANYTHING!  DJs, Musicians, Bands, Cirque, Mixologists, and Bespoke Entertainment.

  • Will the guests be able to see one another?

    • We can customize your virtual event to include or exclude your guest’s video and audio, no problem.

  • What do our guests need to access and participate in the event?

    • A smartphone or computer with an internet connection, speakers, a microphone, and a webcam. They’ll need to download your chosen virtual event platform, we recommend Zoom due to its ease of use and popularity.

  • Can you share announcements with the guests?

    • Absolutely, if you can send us a script or an idea of what you’d like us to say to your guests, we can announce it for you.  You can also add any comments you wish to the live chat feed so everyone can view important messages, click links, etc.

  • Can we schedule a test run to see what everything looks like?

    • Yes, we can schedule a 30 minute audio-visual test run for you and your team.

  • Are virtual events good for fundraisers?

    • Of course!  Many live stream events raise the energy of their viewers and successfully raise money for nonprofits.  We are well-versed in this 🤩

  • How do you handle the door/security?

    • You can choose to set a password, require registration, or enable a waiting room to only admit specific guests as they arrive. Once you choose one of those options, we can set it up for you.

  • How do you manage unruly guests?

    • During the virtual event, the DJ/host will do their best to keep the energy positive & fun, but it is recommended for the host (you) to help us with moderation. You can also book our moderator services to officially take care of this for you.

  • Can you record our virtual event?

    • No, we cannot record your event for you.

  • How customizable will this be?

    • In case you haven’t picked up on this yet, the sky is virtually the limit.

  • Why did Ignight Entertainment get into virtual events?

    • Ignight started live-stream DJing in 2014 to connect with music-lovers across the nation.  In 2020, Ignight Entertainment launched our virtual event services to continue exciting guests with the light of music and dance 🔥
